Send emails with V0 and Mailtrap
Step-by-step guide on how to integrate Mailtrap with V0.
Mailtrap is an email-sending solution for developer and product teams. Focused on fast delivery and high inboxing rates for transactional and promo emails. Provides highly customizable API and 24/7 tech support.
In this article, you’ll learn how to connect the two platforms and start sending emails.
Your prompts must be adjusted to your needs.
Those prompts are created based on our experience in Aug'25 with Lovable and GPT-5.
It might be different for you, as V0 and LLM models constantly evolve.
Before we start:
- Add and verify your email sending domain since Mailtrap allows you to send emails only from a verified domain.
- Make sure your API Token has admin access level to that domain and contacts.
Step 1. Create a landing page/contact form
Log in to your v0 account and use a prompt like the following one to create a simple project with basic fields:

Step 2. Add your Mailtrap credentials
After a minute or two, v0 will generate your project. You’ll then need to insert your credentials, which include your:
- Mailtrap API key
- Mailtrap from email
- to email (optional for notifications)
Step 3. Start sending emails
Once you add your credentials, try filling out the form and hitting the Send Message button.

And here it is in the Mailtrap Email Logs:
Additionally, you’ll be able to see all the important stats regarding your sent emails, such as opens, clicks, bounces, etc.
